Salvador Conejero Iglesias was born in Gijón (Spain) in 1973. He obtained is B.S. degree at the University of Oviedo, and afterwards he moved to the University of Rennes (France) under the Erasmus program in the laboratories of P. H. Dixneuf. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at the University of Oviedo, working with Prof. José Gimeno and Mª Pilar Gamasa, and during this period of time he spent a few monts at the University of Paul-Sabatier in Toulouse (France), working with Bruno Chaudret and Sylviane Sabo-Etienne.From 2002 and 2005 he was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California-Riverside (USA) under the supervision of Prof. Guy Bertrand and in 2005 he was awarded with a Ramón y Cajal contract at the University of Seville-Instituto de Investigaciones Químicas in the group of Prof. Ernesto Carmona. He is currently a Tenured Scientist at the Instituto de Investigaciones Químicas.
