The Asymmetric Catalysis group is seeking for candidate for a FPI four-year contract to carry out a Doctoral Thesis at the Ins tute of Chemical Research in Seville, in the field of the asymmetric catalysis. The work
will be carried out within the framework of the project funded by the Ministry of Science, Innova on and Universi es, PID2025-171842NB-I00: “Ligandos NHC quirales, anfifilicos y voluminosos: Diseño, síntesis y aplicaciones”.

The student will conduct research under the supervision of Dr José María Lassaletta and Dr Abel Ros towards the obten on of a PhD in Chemistry. The PhD student will develop experimental work in a synthetic lab, involving the development of new families of chiral NHC ligands, their metal-based complexes and the application in novel metal-catalyzed asymmetric methodologies. Other tasks will be the prepara on of reports and scientific manuscripts, literature research and participayion in group meetings. Attendance to scientific meetings and conferences is also expected. This aspect will provide the student the opportunity to experience the work with other researchers of different background and sectors, increasing their career and job options after the PhD.
