Biography
PhD in Chemistry and Professor at the University of Seville. My scientific and research activity has been developed in the fields of Chemistry and Materials Science. I have previously served as a researcher at the German universities of Jena, Bayreuth, and Marburg, and at the Leibniz Institute for New Materials in Saarbrücken. In 2019, I joined the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Seville and the Institute of Chemical Research (IIQ).
Research interests
My current research lines focus on the synthesis, functionalization, characterization, and study of the properties of inorganic and hybrid materials, with a special emphasis on nanostructures for biomedical and optoelectronic applications. In our laboratory, we employ Chemistry to design molecules, ligands, and nanostructures relevant to the field of Medicine.
